So you just found out some bad news, and you are not sure how to handle it but you still keep on worrying. Perhaps it’s not one thing in general, but you feel that you are always on the edge about something and you just want to stop. It is ok.  You life is in more manageable than you think, and these steps can help you feel more like it.

Understand Whatever Happens in Life, You Can Always Do Something About It – Worrying contains the fear of not having control or not being able to control a situation you can do nothing about. Once you accept the above statement, and know that there is something that you can do about it, you are coming from a place of potential control & you are already stronger.

Indentify the Problem – Worrying is a symptom. It points out that there maybe an underlying problem we usually don’t see. The first step is to identify what the problem is.  There will be no solution until you have fully identified the real problem.

Write Down What You Can Do About It – If you are worried about something specific that you can do something about, sit down and write everything done you can do to change the outcome of the situation so it is works in your favor.  Then come up with an action plan on how to work through it from start to finish.

Plan For The Best Possible Outcome-   In so many circumstances, your own viewpoint and positive energy really does have an influence on the outcome of a situation. Tell yourself that the job interview that you are going to have is going to go well or you are going to do well in the online class. Whatever you believe the best possible outcome for the situation, tell yourself that it is going to occur.  You will never know how miraculous your own thoughts are and positive visualizations are.

Trust Yourself To Handle Any Life Situation – Say this statement to yourself “Whatever happens, I will find a way to handle & overcome it.” Believe or not, this is true.  You have gone this far & will have everything else you need figured out to.
