Do you feel like your routine is a repeat of the day before? Tying yourself down to a daily schedule that never changes can take all the fun out of living really fast. Combat your boredom with ways to add fun to your daily routine.
Laugh – If you wake up in a funk and find yourself in a bad mood that is hard to shake off, try to start your day by reading funny comics in the newspaper or watching a YouTube video that puts a smile on your face.
Dance It Out– Movement is a great activity that you can benefit from for no cost. Crank up your favorite type of music and dance in your living room. You may feel silly, but I dare you to try this and then tell me it wasn’t fun.
Reconnect with An Old Friend – When life gets busy, it is easy to lose touch with friends. Look through your contacts in your phone until you see the name that makes you think “I wonder what ever happened to them.” Give them a call and if they are local set up a time to meet for coffee or lunch.
Treat Yourself –To take care of others, you must take care of yourself first. When is the last time that you treated yourself to a movie, a trip to the spa or relaxing massage?
Think About Good Memories – Take a moment from your routine to think about a past memory that brought you brought you great joy. Is there a place where you had lots of fun that you have not visited in a long time? If so, take a day go to visit that place. When you do, I bet you will be flooded with so many good memories that you have forgotten about until now.
